Why learn with us

A local school, not a call centre

West London Driving School has taught learners across West London since 2018. Every instructor is DVSA-approved, every lesson is two hours (the length learners actually progress in), and the person answering your WhatsApp is the school’s founder — not a booking desk.

Taught on your test routes

Lessons run on the real roads around Bayswater, Notting Hill and Kensington — the junctions, gyratories and bus lanes West London tests actually use.

Two-hour lessons as standard

An hour in London traffic teaches you very little. Two hours gives time to leave the busy streets, practise properly and consolidate before you finish.

Prices you can check first

£47.50 an hour standard, first-lesson rates from £75, block packages that bring the rate down — all published on the prices page before you spend a penny.

Your driving instructor in West London

Choose your instructor, not a lottery

Most schools assign you whoever is free. Here you choose: read each instructor’s profile, pick manual or automatic, and see their real availability before you book. You keep the same instructor lesson to lesson, so nobody re-learns your progress from scratch.

Manual lessons

The full licence — pass in a manual and you can drive anything. Taught in dual-controlled cars by instructors who teach clutch control on real West London hills, not car parks.

Automatic lessons

No clutch, no stalling — many learners reach test standard sooner. A strong choice for city driving, and the licence most new cars will need anyway.

Common questions

Driving lessons in West London — FAQs

How much are driving lessons in West London?

With us, £47.50 an hour as standard, taught in 2-hour lessons (£95). Your first lesson is £75 if you’re completely new to driving on a UK provisional, or £85 if you’ve had lessons before. Block packages reduce the hourly rate.

Manual or automatic — which should I learn?

Automatic is usually quicker to test standard and suits city driving; manual gives you the full licence to drive both. We teach both — choose the instructor whose car matches, and ask us on WhatsApp if you’re torn.

Do you pick me up from home?

Yes — lessons start from your address (home, work or college) anywhere in our coverage area, and end back where suits you.

How do I book, and do I have to pay online?

Book online in about two minutes — pick your instructor, date and time. Pay securely by card to lock the slot in, or choose to pay your instructor in person.

Do you book my driving test for me?

You book your theory and practical tests yourself through the official DVSA site — it’s free to do and keeps you in control of the date. Your instructor tells you when you’re ready, helps you prepare, and test-day car hire is available.
