Manual lessons at West London Driving School are delivered by ADI-qualified instructors and experienced PDIs across West and Central London, following a structured six-stage syllabus tailored to each learner's pace and starting point. Whether a complete beginner, someone returning after a break, or a driver refining skills ahead of their test, tuition is adapted accordingly. A full manual licence permits the holder to drive both manual and automatic vehicles upon qualification.

Automatic lessons offer a more accessible route to gaining a licence by removing the need to manage clutch control and gear changes, allowing learners to focus fully on road awareness, positioning, and building confidence. Delivered across West and Central London to the same professional standard as our manual tuition, sessions are open to all experience levels and can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
Licence Note
An automatic licence restricts the holder to automatic transmission vehicles only. Consider manual tuition if you want the broadest driving freedom.

For learners whose work, study, or personal commitments make standard daytime availability difficult, flexible scheduling is available across all packages and course types. Sessions outside standard hours are delivered to exactly the same standard, with no compromise on instruction quality or content.

The Pay As You Go option provides a commitment-free way to access professional driving tuition across West and Central London. Each two-hour session can follow our structured syllabus or be tailored to a specific area of development, and is open to learners at any stage — from first-time drivers to those fine-tuning ahead of a test.

This three-hour session is designed for learners who have a practical test booked or want an honest assessment of their current readiness. Sessions begin at our dedicated start point on Ilbert Street, W10 in Queen's Park.

This three-hour session follows the same structured format as the standard Mock Test Package but is conducted within genuine DVSA test areas. The session includes an initial assessment and warm-up, followed by two full mock tests — one sign-led and one sat-nav-led — each with a structured briefing and debrief. Not suitable for complete beginners.

Available exclusively to existing West London Driving School students. Includes a pre-test warm-up of 1.5 to 2 hours, use of a fully insured dual-controlled vehicle for the practical test, and a managed return journey.

Experienced Drivers · Short Notice
For experienced drivers who are close to test standard but require a vehicle at short notice. A mandatory two-hour pre-test assessment lesson must be completed before any test day arrangement is confirmed.
The assessment evaluates current driving standard, identifies any safety concerns, and determines suitability for proceeding with the instructor's vehicle. If the candidate is not test-ready, only the assessment fee is charged and the remaining balance refunded in full.
Pricing breakdown:
Includes collection, a 1.5 to 2-hour warm-up, fully insured dual-controlled vehicle, and managed return journey. Assessment should be scheduled well ahead of the test date.

For existing WLDS students, sessions are typically focused on motorway, night-time, and rural road driving. A completed Pass Plus form is provided upon completion for DVSA submission. West London Driving School can post the form on your behalf if preferred.
