Our Commitment

West London Driving School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners, particularly children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect every instructor operating under our name to share this commitment and to act at all times in a way that protects learners from harm.

Who This Policy Protects

Young learners — anyone under the age of 18 taking lessons with us.
Vulnerable adults — learners who may be at increased risk due to a disability, health condition, or personal circumstances.
This policy applies to all instructors, staff, and representatives of West London Driving School.

Instructor Standards

All instructors are DVSA-approved (ADI) and are expected to hold an appropriate enhanced DBS check.
Instructors must maintain professional boundaries and behave with honesty, respect, and integrity at all times.
Inappropriate language, conduct, or physical contact will not be tolerated.
Instructors follow our Code of Conduct and are accountable for upholding these standards.

Recognising & Reporting Concerns

Anyone with a concern about the safety or welfare of a learner should report it promptly.
Concerns can be raised directly with West London Driving School using the contact details below.
All concerns are taken seriously, handled sensitively, and acted upon without delay.
Where a child or adult is believed to be at immediate risk of harm, contact the emergency services on 999.

Section 5

Lessons with Under-18 Learners

We welcome learners from the age of 17 (or younger where a valid provisional entitlement applies).
For learners under 18, we encourage parents or guardians to be involved in arranging lessons.
Communication with young learners is kept professional and, wherever possible, transparent to parents or guardians.
Parents and guardians are welcome to raise any questions or concerns with us at any time.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We treat all learners fairly regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or background.
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or victimisation of any kind.
Where possible, we make reasonable adjustments to support learners with disabilities or additional needs — please tell us what would help.
Our goal is for every learner to feel safe, respected, and supported throughout their journey with us.
